Police Grants Besigye What He Wanted Most-The Arrest

U Pay Us to Lift U: Besigye forcefully being lifted onto a police pickup on Monday (photo by Isaac Kisaamani)
ISAAC KASAMANI.A close look what has been happening in our political scenes shows that Besigye was losing ground, not only on the national level but also inside his own political party with calls and talks about the succession and him passing on the opposition KEY to new blood after him losing to Museveni three times in a row (2001, 2006 & 2011).

Besigye could have been dreaming/working hard to win back his political relevance after having called for national demonstrations to denounce Musevini's win which Besigye calls illegitimate and pressing opposition MPs to boycott Parliament in vain. The Walk-to-Work; a campaign by the civil society activists (could be Besigye behind it) to have government's action on rocketing food and Fuel price increases might have answered his urgent call at the right time-Besigye has been arrested and news are spreading like bush-fire both in national and International media-and someone has just posted on one of the social network sites that "Besigye's political persecution goes on as he joins citizens to demonstrate their dissatisfaction  with government's spending priorities during the bitting inflation"

I will refrain myself from drawing lines and justifying Besigye's action of running on streets to show his "passionate heart" for ugandans who are sleeping on empty stomachs as food prices go wild, I just wonder why the government (Police and Mr. Kihura, the guy I have too much regard for) gives Besigye unnecessary attention by deploying heavily on streets whenever Besigye is either planning a public appearance or going on his irrelevant personal meetings, conference and alike?

Uganda belongs to all of us, those in opposition or anywhere, I don't wish to see any instability but police should save us the intimidations and leading Ugandans into endless fear by those unnecessary and uncalled for military presence on the streets.
